   The deepstar 4000 was a US Navy deep submergence vehicle that was built in 1965 and retired in 1972, making hundreds of dives during its history, but among those dives there were several mysteries among which is the one that concerns us today, the giant fish of the abyss, I hope you support this.

This is a huge animal seen in the depths of the Ocean off southern California in the Pacific Ocean, This was seen only once by the Deepstar submersible in 1966, when the submersible descended to about 1,219 meters to place hydrographic instruments on the seabed, when suddenly he chanced to look out the window at the eye of a giant fish that had briefly swum into view, passing quickly and scooping up silt from the seabed, before disappearing, the sighting had only lasted about 8 seconds. 

This was described as a moon-like creature between 9 and 12 meters long, much larger than the submersible,  Although they did not see him in detail, since only his eye was visible for a few seconds, but its size is known through the hydrographic instruments that were used by witnesses, who sighted it thousands of meters below the surface, They also described what they saw that it had gills, huge pectoral fins 60 cm long, a rounded caudal fin similar to a grouper or coelacanth that appeared to be between 1.2 and 1.5 in height, and was described as having a blackish color.

To date it has not been possible to decipher what this animal was, some suggest that perhaps it was a shark, others that it was some abyssal species or an exaggeration, Others think it is a fraud but so far nothing connects, leaving this case a mystery, which may never be deciphered.
