Meandering beings dangers reality and speculation For his part, Parker in his book

 Parker and Mark's Mysterious Snakes

The books of naturalists and zoology usually have mysteries and enigmas between their pages and investigations, as well as animals described only once in history and it is not known if they were real or not, since they were not seen again after that description, today we will analyze some mysterious cases, from the hand of a renowned naturalist, who saw an unknown species of snake, thank you all for reading, I hope you support, without further ado, let's start.

The mysterious snake of Papua New Guinea

It is a mysterious unnamed ophidian, nicknamed Parker's serpent, reported and described by famous snake expert Mark O'Shea, in his book A Guide to the Snakes of Papua New Guinea and also by the Australian herpetologist Fred Parker.

Described as a poisonous snake with amphibious habits and that would live in the mountains of New Guinea, near the village of Wipim, in the Western Province, where he is known to have attacked and killed several children since his first description, This one is said to be very rare but distinguishable by its purple head and yellowish body, in addition to its large size, measuring 1.98 meters long.

For his part, Parker in his book The Snakes of Western Province, I talk about this animal, giving the same description as Mark, only changing that it is yellowish brown to brown on the back and from pale yellow to white on the vertebrae, with soft scales, enlarged ventrals and a short cylindrical tail, this is reportedly an inhabitant of small freshwater swamps and streams rather than larger rivers or open marshy grasslands, Although it has been seen sunbathing on dry land, it apparently prefers to hide on the muddy bottom.

All descriptions agree that this creature is extremely poisonous.

The Australian yellow snake

This is another case that occurred on January 24, 2008, being published in the online forum Aussie Pythons & Snakes where they uploaded a case where a person found very small snakes in a well, which fit the descriptions of the snakes mentioned before, this in the interior of Australia.

According to the user, he had found 2 small snakes in a water hole, they were about 20 cm long, with a magenta head and yellow body, although there were photographs, it may be that, if it is not a fraud, it is the same species of snake that Mark and Parker described, although the report remains very vague.

Theories and identity

To date, it is not known what these reptiles are, and they have not been investigated again, There are few theories about it, some saying that perhaps they are an atypical color morph of the western taipan, a morph of tree snakes or Australian pythons, but until now no one has been able to say anything, due to the ambiguity of the case.

There is also a theory in the case of Australia, which says that these were not snakes at all, but a type of legless lizard, which are well known in Australia, it may or may not be this, at the end of the day this case may never be solved, leaving everything a mystery, Whether these snakes exist or existed is something that remains a matter of speculation until it is decided to investigate further.
